Crochet To Do List Entries
Found the cutest pattern for a crocheted lovey blanket on Brittas Ami's blog. Joanne loves her lamby she got from somewhere else but these would be lots of fun to make.
This scarf made with the angel stitch on Meladora's blog looks like an interesting stitch. I picked an different pattern for my scarf fair entry but want to try this one some time in the future.
Over on Crochet Dynamite's blog, I found these cute crocheted pen covers that look like pencils. These would be a fun gift to add to my goodie bags for my co-workers at Christmas.
This baby hat is too cute. It is called the Trendy Elf hat from Cre8tion Crochet's blog.

New items for our booth at HeroesCon 2013
While working on new theme ideas for the hats I crochet for HeroesCon, I came up with the idea to make phone cozies that will fit the all three iPhone sizes. After three prototypes I came up with a easy design for the base so I could decorate the case easily. I have two completed right now: a Hello Kitty and a mouse that wears pants (don't want to get in trouble with the copyright police at Disney).
The mouse one is already sold and I have three more people wanting one. Lets see if I can keep a stock of them before the convention in June. Going to work up more superhero themed ones soon.

Chicken Mission
I came into work the other day and found some pictures with a note "I want these chickens" from one of my co-workers. Luckily the picture was clear enough for me to count out the stitches to try to make her this chicken since I could not find the pattern on the internet. The other two pictures that were attached I was able to find patterns for to make them. Her kitchen colors are apple green, apple red and country yellow.
While watching The Hunger Games last night I got started on my chicken mission project. I normally crochet very tight but I had to make sure that I stayed loose on this little guy other wise he would have been a very tight mess. So by the end of the movie here is what I completed.
Just have to figure out the head and then the placement of the shells around to finish off the chicken. Have to look up how to do a french knot to make the eye. It has been forever so I just need to refresh myself. Will keep you updated on the chicken mission.

Sweater is done!
I was able to finish the baby sweater this past Saturday. It turned out too cute. Just have to block it a bit so it lays better then into the tote to wait until October for the fair.

2013 NC State Fair Crochet Entries
It is never too soon to start working on my projects for this October. I am almost done with my second project as we speak, baby sweater, done in pink, brown and white. Here are some progress pictures:
I was good on this project and went shopping for the yarn in my stash which made honey very happy. When I told him I did not have to by any yarn for this project I believe he said "thank god!" Is having a bunch of yarn such a big problem???? :) I am going to have to block this project for sure to make sure it looks perfect. I am so wanting another blue ribbon. It has been since 2007 so please, please, please.
Yesterday I went to AC Moore and purchased the yarn for my next fair project. Used my gift card I got for Christmas and a bonus point coupon and came home with 5 skeins of Homespun in a pretty purple color. I plan on making the Seraphina shawl that can be found on the Crochetville website.
I took Monday off for my birthday and plan on starting the shawl. From reading the pattern it looks like I could maybe finish it in one day if I am lucky. **Fingers crossed**
